African Academy of Learning


 

The academy is a vital source of providing competent staff to Africa Health Organisation. It also supports disadvantaged young people especially young Carers with home work. 
The academy support education, lifelong learning, supplementary learning, providing skills and non-vocational qualifications.

This offers out-of-school-hours educational opportunities for children and young people, who either need more support or are disadvantaged by their social, financial and health situation.

The supplementary learning:

  • offer a range of learning opportunities, including national curriculum subjects (English, maths, science, ICT and others), religious studies, mother-tongue classes, cultural studies and a range of extra activities, such as sport, music, dance and drama.
  • run throughout the week in the evenings, or at weekends.

ESOL course

The academy also offers ESOL courses that cover:

  • speaking and listening
  • reading and writing
  • vocabulary
  • punctuation and grammar

Accreditation

African Carers Programme  The programmes aims to improve the lives of Carers and advocate for change in policy.


African Young Carers Programme  The programme is about providing appropriate support to young people looking after someone.


Africa Nursing & Care Agency (ANCA)  The programme supports the delivery of health and social care through supplying personnel.


African Academy of Learning  This flagship programme aims to improve skills and educational attainment of African people.
