Africa Sexual Health Programme


 

The sexual health programme provides support, advice, guidance and information for a healthy sexual life. The programme is central to preventing STIs and unwanted pregnancies.
The sexual health programme  encompasses the following programme

Chlamydia screening

This programme targets the under 25 for Chlamydia testing and encourage young people to seek help early.

Improving access to Genitourinary medicine (GUM) services

The to maintain 48hr GUM access target

 

Improving HIV prevention in the African community

We work with service providers to achieve HIV prevention performance target with best practice and learning sets so that over 60% achieved their trajectories.

 

Reducing teenage pregnancy in African young people

Our Teenage Pregnancy Programme works jointly to reduce under-18 conception rate and improve sexual health of African young people. The project created a working group to improve contraception provision and tackle high abortion rate.

 

Improving access to contraception

The purpose of the project is to give information, advice and guidance on contraception methods. The Condom Card (C-CARD) scheme is part of the contraception scheme.

Africa Maternal Health Programme Maternal health programme aims to improve the health of mothers and un/new born babies.


Africa Renal Health Programme  Africa Renal programme is about prevention, early detection and renal replacement therapy.


Africa Disability Programme  Africa Disability promotes the health and social welfare of African disabled people ensuing their.


Africa Mental Health Programme  The programme aims to improve mental health of African people and changing attitude.


African Carers Programme  The programmes aims to improve the lives of Carers and advocate for change in policy.


African Young Carers Programme  The programme is about providing appropriate support to young people looking after someone.


Africa Nursing & Care Agency (ANCA)  The programme supports the delivery of health and social care through supplying personnel.


African Academy of Learning  This flagship programme aims to improve skills and educational attainment of African people.
